League of Legends fans have an interesting side project to play. The spin-off starring Sylas has just received an official trailer, and the release date has also been announced.
The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story already has a confirmed release date – the spin-off of the popular LoL will be released in just over a month. Riot Games announced this week that their new game will be released on April 18, which is quite an early date considering that it was first mentioned only in February . As the title suggests, in The Mageseeker we will assume the role of Silas, a mage who rebels against his Demacian oppressors using his magic chains and stolen spells. The game will be available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch.
Sylas will face not only hordes of nameless opponents, which is also visible in the trailer. During his journey, the rogue mage will encounter several other champions of Demacia that League of Legends players will recognize – such as Jarvan IV and Lux. It is also not a random choice, because both characters play a key role in Silas’s biography. It also seems that the narrator of the whole story is none other than Morgana, which may mean that she will also interact with Sylas. A dedicated website contains all additional information about the game and its features. There we can also see that in addition to the aforementioned champions, we will see Shyvana and Garen in the game.
The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story™, from Digital Sun’s studio behind Moonlighter, is an action RPG set in the League of Legends universe. In the realm of Demacia, mageseekers oppress sorcery citizens in the name of public order. They use indoctrination, surveillance, arrests and persecution. Become Silas, a spell-stealing wizard who has just broken free from the unjust captivity of the mageseekers. With the chains that have held you until recently, you must liberate your land from tyranny by eliminating the mageseekers one by one.
