The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power takes place thousands of years before the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Ringsduring the Second Age of Middle-earth. It begins during a time of relative peace after the defeat of Morgoth, Lord of Sauron. The series follows the lives and adventures of the cast members and promises to visit the Misty Mountains, the forest capital of the elves of Lindon, and the shores of the island kingdom of Númenor.
