A new game in the Lord of the Rings universe was announced during the Epic Games Summer panel during the Summer Game Fest . The storyline will focus on the Dwarves of Middle-earth as they try to reclaim Moria in an entirely new and thrilling adventure. The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria from Free Range Games will take players straight into the Fourth Age of Middle-earth.
The Lord of the Rings : Return to Moria will only be available on the Epic Games Store in Spring 2024. It will be released on PC. Chris Scholz, president of Free Range Games, officially announced the production:
We at Free Range Games are incredibly excited to finally unveil The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria. JRR Tolkien and all his works in Middle-earth are close and dear to our hearts. This project offers a great opportunity to create new experiences born from one of the best stories ever. We put a lot of passion into this game to give players an unforgettable adventure.

It is not yet known whether the game will appear on consoles. The premiere will take place in the spring of 2024.
