The film is based on a series of novels written by CS Lewis. It tells the story of siblings who, moving to the house of an eccentric professor, discover a mysterious door leading to a land inhabited by magical creatures. It soon turns out that Narnia is in conflict. The young heroes engage in a fight against the White Witch who kidnapped their brother. Their appearance is at the same time hope for the inhabitants who were waiting for the liberators included in the prophecy. So they unite with the Lion, Aslan, to fight to end the winter that has been going on for over a hundred years.
The director of the first part was Andrew Adamson, who together with Christopher Markus, Stephen McFeely and Ann Peacock wrote the script for the film. Starring William Moseley (Peter), Anna Popplewell (Susan), Skandar Keynes (Edmund) and Georgie Henley (Lucy) and Tilda Swinton (the White Witch). Aslan was voiced by Liam Neeson. Interestingly, some of the photos took place in Poland, by the frozen lake, Siemianowskie Lake. The film was awarded with 7 statuettes, including an Oscar. He also got nominations for 23 awards. The production in Poland was presented for the first time on January 6, 2006.
