Film Uncharted has been struggling with production problems for a long time, so the production of the film is still under question. Meanwhile, HBO and Naughty Dog have just announced their work on a series adaptation of another PlayStation hit – The Last of Us from 2013!
The team behind the series is led by original game writer Neil Druckmann, and Craig Mazin, producer of the Chernobyl miniseries . As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the plot of the first season of The Last of Us is to cover the events of the first part of Naughty Dog, although there is also talk of possible threads introducing the upcoming The Last of Us 2 .
The game by Naughty Dog takes place twenty years after a mysterious epidemic decimated Earth’s civilization. The survivors live in fallen cities, fighting for food between themselves and mutants infected with the virus. The story follows Joel, a middle-aged smuggler and orphan teenager, Ellie, trying to survive in a dangerous world.
