After eight years of silence, we will finally hear what is happening in Panem. Probably every year – the Hunger Games. So why should we be curious?
We got the first trailer of the latest part of The Hunger Games three months ago and until now we haven’t had any new information. The teaser is stylized as a message received by a Panem resident selected for the Academy. Peter Dinklage and Viola Davis get the most attention, playing the dean of the academy and the champion of the Games, respectively. They congratulate the chosen ones on their physical and mental strength and other virtues, for which they were admitted to the academy.
Among the accepted is of course (because what would the plot look like) the main character of the film – Coriolanus Snow, played by Tom Blyth. This indicates to us that the film will not be a sequel, because in the previous parts, Snow is the old tyrant organizing the Games. She’s only eighteen in this movie, so it’s more of a prequel.
The film will certainly be worth seeing for anyone who has watched the previous installments – there are simply too many challenges ahead of it not to want to see the great success or monumental failure it will be. The production is about the past of the main gold, which is a challenge in itself to answer the question of why it is the way it is. The title revives the film universe after eight years of absence from the big screen, which can end tragically and alienate many fans. Even if the film is not interesting, the event itself and the discussion it will provoke will be worth seeing.
