The Changeling is a series based on the novel by Victor LaValle, which will debut on Apple TV+ this fall. It is supposed to be a combination of drama, horror and fantasy in which we will visit New York, but in a form we had no idea about.
Some of the most disturbing horror movies are those that put family at risk, but family can also be the source of that terror – that’s how Apple TV+ describes its new production The Changeling . Not to be confused with either 1980’s The Changeling or 2008’s Changeling , the series is an adaptation of Victor LaValle’s 2017 novel. The three-episode premiere is scheduled for September 8.
The series stars LaKeith Stanfield, Clark Backo, Adina Porter, Samuel T. Herring, Alexis Louder, Jared Abrahamson and special guest Malcolm Barrett. “The Changeling” was written and adapted by showrunner and executive producer Kelly Marcel, and the pilot episode was directed by Melina Matsoukas.
