Kageyama Hironobu, like millions of other people around the world, remain in home quarantine. The author of the hit "Dragon Ball Z" decided to use this time to re-record the song, inviting Brazilian star Ricardo Cruz to collaborate.
“Dragon Ball” has plenty of theme songs, but Hironobu Kageyama has revived his beloved single “Cha-La Head-Cha-La”. The artist, like millions of other people, stays at home to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Thanks to new communication techniques, Kageyama was able to share his performance of “Dragon Ball” with his fans .
The performance below was done by Kageyama together with Ricardo Cruz. The latter is a famous South American singer creating his own interpretations of famous anime songs. For Cruz, as he himself admitted, “it’s a dream come true” because he could sing in a duet with a Japanese megastar and the author of his favorite anime series.
The single “Cha-La Head-Cha-La” by Kageyama, performed on an acoustic guitar, sounds timeless. You can see that the artist is in great shape. Cruz’s voice is an extraordinary complement. The whole, despite the thousands of kilometers separating the artists, looks extremely good. Anyway, judge for yourself.
