The Hawkeye spin-off will focus on the character of Echo

Marvel Comics have many Native American characters, but for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Echo will be the first. Alaqua Cox will make her debut as Maya Lopez in “Hawkeye”.

Marvel Studios is planning a lot of projects this year that will air on Disney +. Apparently, work has already begun on the series, focusing on the character Echo, played by Alaqua Cox. However, the information has not been confirmed by the label or by Etan Cohen and Emily Cohen, who are involved in the writing and executive production of the series. Echo – aka Maya Lopez – in Hawkeye , is a Native American deaf character who can imitate the abilities of others.

Cox, like her heroine, is deaf and a native American. Echo is set to be an important part of the show, despite the Hawkeye role being her first major role. No details have been released about how she will portray the story, but there is a chance she could start as an opponent of Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) given their shared association with Ronin’s cloak in the comics.

In the comics, Echo has collaborated with heroes such as The Avengers, Daredevil, and Moon Knight. Charlie Cox, the star of Netflix’s Daredevil series , is rumored to be shooting Spider-Man: No Way Home , and Disney + is also working on the Moon Knight series with Oscar Isaac, so bringing Echoes to Marvel’s superhero series makes sense.

The filming of the Hawkeye series is now over , and in addition to Jeremy Renner, who will return as the title character, Hailee Steinfeld will also make his debut as Kate Bishop, who will eventually take over Hawkeye’s coat. The series also stars Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Brian D’Arcy James, and guest appearance Florence Pugh, who will play Yelena Belova, the new Black Widow. Cox will debut as Maya Lopez.

The exact release date of Hawkeye is unknown, however Marvel is scheduled to release the show in late 2021 on Disney +.
