A new Transformers video game has been announced for release this fall. Transformers: EarthSpark – Expedition is a 3D action adventure game for one person, in which we will play the role of Bumblebee.
As the name suggests, the game is based on the animated series Transformers: EarthSpark , broadcast on Paramount+. Developed by Tessera Studios, it is scheduled to be released for Nintendo Switch , PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC on October 20. The publisher of the title is Outright Games.
While Transformers: Battlegrounds , the previous title in the series released in 2020, featured XCOM-inspired gameplay, Outright Games decided to take a more action-oriented approach this time around. During the press conference, the publishers confirmed that the production is to be aimed primarily at younger users.
In Transformers: EarthSpark – Expedition, players will explore three unique biomes that Outright Games describes as “massive”. While Bumblebee will be at the center of the game, users can expect to see several other famous heroes including Optimus Prime, Grimlock, Skullcruncher, Nova Storm and Skywarp. During the game, we will unlock new abilities for Bumblebee and explore the universe. Older fans, on the other hand, will enjoy the fact that they will find references to older programs and toys.
For those who do not know Transformers: EarthSpark , it is worth adding that it is an animated series in which there are, among others, Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Megatron, but also brand new characters including Twitch, Thrash, Hashtag, Jawbreaker and Nightshade. These characters are collectively known as Terrans and represent Earth-born Transformers. One of the show’s biggest villains is Mandroid, a mad scientist who seeks to fuse his body with Transformers technology. The villain will also be the main antagonist in Transformers: EarthSpark – Expedition .
