Wan said in an interview with Collider
Both Wan and his longtime producing partner Peter Safran have been involved in the development of all films in the series, including The Nun 2 and The Conjuring 4. Now, the latter has joined DC Studios alongside James Gunn, and Atomic Monster is moving to Blumhouse from James Blum to create potential horror. So it is known that the franchise is not in the center of attention.
