The trailer shows us a lot of action and numerous locations in which the action will take place. We can also see how the roles of, among others, Tom Holland, Mark Wahlberg and Antonio Banderas. You can see the full trailer below.
From this material, we can in fact infer a lot about the plot. Fans of the game series will immediately notice that the film will not fit into the canon known from games. The scene where Nathan and Sully meet for the first time is not even close to what we know from the source material. We also know the main goal of our protagonist – find his brother. For this, he must find a truly fabulous treasure.
While it won’t be a sequel or a prequel, there are plenty of game references. There is of course the protagonist’s characteristic outfit and his ring (it played a key role in the story of the games), the scenes with the ships in the cave and with the plane are similar to what appeared in the original series. In addition, we also see how the main character at some point solves a puzzle related to the artifact (there were also such elements in the games).
Overall, the trailer looks good, but as with all occasions of this type, the question arises as to whether it has shown too much. There is also, of course, the issue of the “curse” that weighs on the screenings of games. In recent years, we have seen good productions based on brands such as Pokemon and Sonic . May these not only be exceptions to the rule.
We’ll find out in a few months what Uncharted will be . The premiere is scheduled for February 18 next year.
