The first material from a new production inspired by DC comics hit the web. The trailer doesn’t reveal much.
The published video confirms earlier announcements about the plot. After Batman’s tragic death, Gotham Police finds four suspects. Among them are the children of the most dangerous criminals the Dark Knight has dealt with, as well as his own son, Turner. None of this group confesses to the crime for which they are accused. With the help of Batman’s former aides – Carrie Kelley – they escape the police and start their own investigation to clear the charges.
The series features Oscar Morgan as Turner Hayes, Anna Lore as Stephanie Brown, Olivia Rose Keegan as Duela Dent, Navia Robinson as Carrie Kelley, Fallon Smythe as Harper Row, Tyler DiChiara as Cullen Row, and Misha Collins as Harvey Dent. The production is created by Warner Bros. Television together with Berlanti Productions. These two studios were responsible for all previous DC comic-based projects for CW stations. The authors of the script are Chad Fiveash, James Stoteraux and Natalie Abrams.
CW recently decided to cancel some of the superhero series from its schedule. Two productions from the so-called arrowverse went under the “ax” – Batwoman and Legends of Tomorrow – as well as Naomi . The last of these projects lasted only one season.
Gotham Knights will debut in the first half of next year along with two other new series – The Winchesters (prequel Supernatural ) and Walker: Independence .
