The first full-fledged trailer of a new movie based on the cult series of games has hit the network. We can in it, among others see what monsters the heroes will face.
In the published material, we can see a lot of references to games. Among them, of course, there are scenes with characteristic creatures such as licker or doberman zombies. In addition, we also recreate a scene from the first game where one of the undead slowly looks over his shoulder.
Number of connections and the so-called Easter eggs should not come as a surprise, as the director and screenwriter of the film – Johannes Roberts – has repeatedly stated that he is a big fan of the Resident Evil series . In one of the interviews, he promised to keep the film in the atmosphere of the first games. If you believe his words, we can expect a very solid horror film with a focus on scaring the viewer, and not an action-packed production on the border of sensation and science fiction.
The film will focus on people from the title Racoon City who are trying to survive in a city full of monsters. They come from the failed experiments of the Umbrella Corporation. The company had left its former headquarters earlier, leaving all evil locked in the basement. Now the heroes have to discover all the secrets and escape the nightmare full of mutants and zombies.
In Resident Evil: Welcome to Racoon City we will see a galaxy of stars who will play some of the most famous characters from the games. Kaya Scodelario as Claire Redfield, Hannah John-Kamen as Jill Valentine, Robbie Amell as Chris Redfield, Tom Hopper as Albert Wesker, Avan Jogia as Leon S. Kennedy, Nathan Dales as Brad Vickers, Marina Mazepa as Lisa Trevor and Neal McDonough as Dr. William Birkin. The picture will hit Polish cinemas on December 3 this year.
