We recently reported a preview of an animated movie set in the world of Mortal Kombat . Now the production got the first trailer revealing a bit of the plot and the animation style.
Despite the title pointing to the focus of action around probably the most famous fighting character, the trailer seems to show a story known from the beginning of the series of games. A group of well-known heroes are gathered by Shang Tsung to participate in a martial arts tournament. You can view the published material below.
So far, Scorpion has not shown much more shots than the other characters, but that may change in the near future. In the film we will hear the voices of, among others Joel McHale (Johnny Cage), Jennifer Carpenter (Sonya Blade) and Patrick Seitz (Scorpion and Hanzo Hasashi). Due to the high level of brutality, the production was rated R (adult viewers only).
Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge will be available directly on Blu-Ray, DVD and digital distribution this spring.
