According to Zippo , Mario Kart X , because this is the name of the new version – Nintendo considers Mario Kart: Home Circuit to be the ninth installment of the series – has been in production for 4 years. According to his many mysterious sources, the game is supposed to be a small reboot of the brand. Hence, we shouldn’t expect the old tracks from the previous parts. The new Mario Kart may have a new crossover-based business model – possibly similar to the Smash Brothers series , where we get new characters from other brands along with their thematic maps.
Zippo believes the game will not be available until 2024 . However, he emphasizes that we must first see the new model of the Nintendo Switch console. Of course, remember that these are only rumors. It is worth taking them with reserve. How will it really be? We’ll find out in some time. The truth is, however, that more and more people mention the new Nintendo console, maybe soon we will see the successor of the Switch on one of the next Nintendo Direct?
