Production of The Flash is underway, and fans are generously inundated with new shots from the set hitting the net. Thanks to this, recently we were able to see several important characters from the film for the first time.
The first to be published is a photo of Michael Keaton playing Bruce Wayne. Years later, the actor will return to the role of Batman, which he first played in Batman in 1989. This time, Keaton will play an older version of the famous superhero who lives in the alternative timeline launched by DC Comics in 2011 in the short series of Flashpoint comics . He will be the second Batman because, as the production director said, the “basic” one will be played by Ben Affleck. A few days ago, the director of The Flash teased DC fans with shots of Supergirl in action and photos of her costume. At the time, however, it was not clear whether the materials represented Sasha Calle playing her or a stunt performer. But on the same day as Michael Keaton’s photo, another production set photo surfaced on the web that no doubt featured Calle and her impressive costume.
As if that were not enough, a photo of Barry Allen (The Flash) appeared shortly after, in which Ezra Miller plays. It shows the protagonist in civilian clothes, standing in front of the courthouse. What is most interesting, however, is the fact that in one of the shots Allen has a Flash ring on the index finger of his left hand. It is a special functional ornament made of the wedding rings of Barry’s parents, which allows him to store his superhero costume in it when he takes on the role of an ordinary civilian. The Ring first debuted in comics in 1956 and then appeared in season 5 of the TV series The Flash. However, no one expected him to appear on the big screen, especially since he was also absent from Zack Snyder’s Justice League.
Thanks to the vigilance of Internet users, we could also see a photo from the set showing the bus from Central City (the location of the film). Present on it, in the form of an advertisement, is Wonder Woman played by Gal Gadot. And while that doesn’t mean the character will appear in The Flash , it’s certainly an intriguing detail as Gadot’s involvement in the production has yet to be confirmed. There were, however, a lot of unofficial reports.
The director of the film is Andy Muschietti, known for such horror films as Mama, To and To: Chapter 2. Christina Hodson, who worked on Birds of the Night (and the fantastic emancipation of a certain Harley Quinn) , is responsible for the script . On the screen, in addition to the aforementioned actors, we will also see Kiersey Clemons (Iris West), Ron Livingston (Henry Allen), Maribel Verdu (Nora Allen), Ian Loh (young Barry Allen) and Saoirse-Monica Jackson.
The latest installment of Flash’s adventures will debut in theaters next year, on November 22.
