The filming of “Borderlands” has been completed

The work on the set of the film based on the popular series of games has now come to an end. The announcement appeared, among others on Twitter, and was accompanied by the publication of the first official photo of one of the heroes.

A photo of Claptrap appeared on the official twitter account of the production along with the information about the end of the shooting. For the first time, we can see what a clumsy robot will look like in a movie. Fortunately, the image of the character will not differ from what we saw in the games.

Borderlands will tell the story of Lilith, who reluctantly returns to her home planet – Pandora – to find the missing daughter of Atlas, one of the greatest bastards in the universe. On her mission, she finds quite unexpected allies: the soldier Roland, the adolescent amateurs of demolition Tina Tina, her strong defender Krieg, the scientist Tannis on the verge of madness, and the smart robot Claptrap. During the search for this unexpected group of heroes you will have to face various cosmic monsters and bandits. The girl herself, who is the target of their mission, can hide a secret to incredible power.

The film features Cate Blanchett (Lilith), Edgar Ramirez (Atlas), Kevin Hart (Roland), Jamie Lee Curtis (Tannis), Ariana Greenblatt (Tiny Tina), Florian Munteanu (Krieg), Haley Bennett and Jack Black (Claptrap). The director of the picture is Eli Roth and the screenwriter is Craig Mazin. The film has no official release date yet.
