It turns out that the awaited by fans of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is preparing even more surprises than could have been expected. We know that all phases of this cinematic universe come together to form one complex story, and that the fourth flows directly from the events we’ve followed over the past 12 years (yes, it’s been a long time since the first Iron Man in 2008). The heavily expanded world, with such an impressive number of plots and characters, creates great opportunities to use the previous material, and this is what phase four of the MCU will be based on.
Derek Kolstad, one of the show’s creators, commented on it this way:
All I can say is that viewers will see characters returning from Marvel’s earliest movies . We discover their threads in a way that really affects the story, it really excites me!
The cast of the show is still largely cloaked in secrecy. But we do know, for example, that Wyatt Russell will appear as the US Agent . It has also long been known that Daniel Brühl will return as Zemo after we last saw him in Captain America: A War of Heroes (2016). There are also photos from the set on the Internet, showing Emily VanCamp (Sharon Carter) and Georges St-Pierre (Batroc):
However, our guess is that it’s not about them. Surely you can expect that Marvel Studios is preparing a big surprise here, bringing back characters from the first phase? The earliest Avengers movies are classics today, but full of smaller and interesting roles that could be easily used. Who would you like to see alongside Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes?
