The Exorcist: The Confessor” – a continuation of the most famous horror film in the history of cinema

The film is a continuation of the phenomenal horror film from 1973 about a little girl possessed by a demon. In the version released in cinemas, a father raises his daughter alone after the death of his wife. When she and her friend disappear into the forest and return three days later, not remembering what happened to them, a whole chain of events is triggered. The father is forced to confront evil. Desperate, looking for help, he finds Chris MacNeil, well known to viewers. Cinema waited 50 years to face this story again. Cinema City will also show this work, which hits the audience’s emotions with all its strength, in BNP Paribas IMAX and Sizeer 4DX. We will see Ellen Burstyn, Jennifer Nettles and Ann Dowd on the screens, and the sequel is directed by David Gordon Green.

Fire Festival”

Kinga Dębska’s latest, warm comedy is perfect for autumn visits to cinemas. The main character of the film, Anastazja (Paulina Pytlak), is 20 years old, addicted to comic books, hot chocolate and in love with the boy next door. If she could, she would take him on a date or to the end of the world. Unfortunately, these are just dreams, because she has been confined to a wheelchair since childhood and communicates with her surroundings using a special program. Despite all the limitations, Nastka does not lose her cheerfulness and infects everyone with her optimism. The best relationship with her is her older sister Łucja (Joanna Drabik) – a rising star of the National Ballet, who is just on the threshold of a great career. Anastazja is raised alone by her father, Poldek (Tomasz Sapryk). Soon, the lives of all three will enter a new stage when their feisty neighbor from across the street – Józefina (Kinga Preis) – knocks on their door. Thanks to her, Anastazja and her loved ones will rediscover themselves and, at the same time, come face to face with a family secret that has been waiting to be solved for too long.

Fake Lovers”

Science fiction comedy and romance? Why not! He’s a playboy and pompous buffoon who uses his robot clone for first dates, only to step in like a knight on a white horse when things get more racy. She is a lover of expensive handbags who willingly uses the help of her doppelgänger to trick the gullible people she meets into buying expensive gifts. Everything works fine until they send their not-so-legal substitutes on their date. When sparks begin to fly between the robots, they decide to rebel against their owners and escape into the world. The heroes must reveal their cards and, despite their dislike for each other, chase their clones before the situation gets completely out of control.

Ballet event at Cinema City – “Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake”

Matthew Bourne’s “Swan Lake” returns to cinemas. This exciting, audacious and witty production is renowned for replacing the all-female corps-de-ballet with a male ensemble that shatters convention, turns tradition upside down and takes the dance world by storm. Retaining the iconic elements of the original production loved by millions around the world, Matthew Bourne and award-winning designers Lez Brotherston (set and costumes) and Paule Constable (lighting) created a new version of the timeless ballet legend. The footage shown at Cinema City was filmed live at Sadler’s Wells Theater in London in 2019. The ballet performance is directed by Matthew Bourne, and William Bozier, Nicola Kabera and Liam Mower will perform on stage.
