The Eternals first appeared in a comic book in 1976. They are depicted living hidden on earth, shaping history, changing the course of civilization and protecting humanity. (Otherwise we would probably be extinct by now…). Their antagonists are cosmic hunters called Deviants.
Grają m.in. Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, Salma Hayek, Lia McHugh and Don Lee.
Who is who? Angelina Jolie stars as Thena, known for her intellect. This heroine is portrayed as the warrior daughter of Eternal Zuras (which is probably intended to be associated with Zeus and Athena in Greek mythology). Richard Madden – Ikaris (father of the mythological Icarus and probably the main character of the film), Kumail Nanjiani is Kingo (fencing master and actor), deaf Lauren Ridloff will play Makkari (in the comic book he is a white man), South Korean actor Don Lee plays Gilgamesh, Lia McHugh – eternal Sprite’s child. Salma Hayek will be Ajak (it was a man in the comic), and Kit Harrington – Black Knight and Gemma Chan will also star as Sersi, the knight’s beloved. Then Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, the genius and inventor, Barry Keoghan as Druig.
We have to wait forever for this premiere, but the creators assure that it is worth it. The new date is November 2021.
