The gods called Celestians who once gave life on Earth now want to destroy the world. Even the Eternals or Shi’ar soldiers think that we have no chance in this clash and are not going to help. However, the Avengers group is not going to give up. It soon turns out that the powerful Hulk, Captain Marvel and Thor, enhanced with Iron Man technology, Doctor Strange with magical powers, or the demonic Ghost Rider, are not able to even scare their opponents. How to beat them? Odin may have the answer to this question. It is the All-Father, along with the Avengers of that time, in his youth made a huge mistake, through which now the Cosmic Beings want to liquidate our planet and all its inhabitants.

Aaron tells a story full of mysteries from the very beginning. We learn more about the ancient superheroes who clashed with the aforementioned enemies centuries ago. Odin remains the only living member of that group, remembering that he made a mistake then. But what was it about? Why did he infuriate Celestian so much? Additionally, Loki tells us his story of events. But can we believe the god of lies? And then Black Panther and Doctor Strange discover a huge vermin beneath the surface of the planet, called the Horde, sucking life essence from everything that has it. What is their participation in the entire event? The Eternals also have their secrets, but will they share them in the face of a threat? Well, there are many questions and we don’t get an answer for a long time. Instead, we get spectacular fights and struggles of indomitable heroes, who still believe that we can still be saved. Is it really and is it worth it?

A solid job

For the artwork in Avengers. The last waveEd McGuinness, Sara Pichelli and Paco Medina responded. All the artists did their job very well. We have a nice line here, a lot of colors, and the heroes were created in such a way that we can easily recognize them. They have their characteristic, distinguishing features. By the way, the new Ghost Rider was entertained, which, in addition to the demon car, also gets a hellish tractor! In the next part, we also have to see an older version of it on a fiery mammoth! All our Avengers conduct no less spectacular fights, during which you can almost hear successive blows, falls and explosions. It is worth noting that the cartoonists refer a bit to the Avengers still created by Kirby, but at the same time refresh the frames and add a lot of modern techniques to them. Everything follows the plot properly and is great to watch. Way to go!
