The anime by Tozai was one of the most interesting new releases of the fall 2022 general schedule. It offered a new take on stories typical of anime . So it wasn’t a surprise when it was announced that The Eminence in Shadow season 2 will be in production shortly after the first one ends, more precisely in early February this year. The series began production much sooner than expected. The producers of The Eminence in Shadow have announced that they will release new episodes in October 2023. They also showed a teaser.

Even in his past life, Cid’s dream was not to be the main character or the final boss. He’d rather be a secondary character. Now that he has been reborn in another world, he is ready to create the perfect conditions to make his dreams come true. Armed with his overactive imagination, Cid playfully recruits members for his organization and makes up a whole story about an evil cult they must bring down.
