While Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey hasn’t even had a premiere yet, the team behind it is clearly already considering what other public domain characters could use to create their own horror movies. The filmmakers recall, among others about Peter Pan or Thor.

When asked by TMZ in a new interview if they planned to expand their horror films to other public domain characters, director Rhys Waterfield confirmed they had several ideas:

Basically, we’ve been doing this for the past year. Humpty Dumpty and the like, and there were other ideas too, like Thor. The Nordic god is not owned by Marvel so we could have made some sort of our own interpretation. But I decided that it would not be as good as Winnie the Pooh, hence the decision. We also have many more planned, including Peter Pan.

Producer Scott Jeffrey gave more details about the Peter Pan horror movie idea they are developing by adding:

Peter Pan will be very funny because Neverland will be like a circus. We’re going to make a kind of bizarre show out of this. We will look at the tormented characters, and Tinkerbell will also appear there.

An official release date for Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey has not yet been established , but interest in the film has been high from the moment it appeared on the Internet. Will the bear horror movie be successful and encourage the director to continue the bloody adaptations of fairy tales?
