The director of Fast and Furious 10 and 11 , Louis Leterrier, wants to bring street racing back to the forefront of the saga, thus returning to the roots of the series.
The new electric DeLorean is one of many cars appearing in Fast and Furious 10, the sequel to the space adventures in the 9th part. However, even with the vehicles known from racing, despite the progressively bizarre and absurd action, director Louis Leterrier keeps the latest installment relatively down to earth.
What could I have done? Time journey? I couldn’t do anything bigger than that. There is no way. They went to space, so I thought, Let’s bring this back to Earth.

The Fast and the Furious 10 returns to Earth for Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) to take on the race of his life against Dante Reyes (Jason Momoa), the sadistic son of ruthless Rio drug lord Hernan Reyes (Joaquim de Almeida). The director wanted to bring the saga back to the roots of street racing, staging it between Dom, Dante, Diogo (Luis Da Silva Jr.) and Isabel (Daniela Melchior).
I love Fast and Furious movies with international espionage and space travel and all that, but that’s not why I watch these movies. If I’m going to make a Fast and Furious movie , it’s going to be one that brings racing back to the forefront. It’s my legacy as a director to want to bring cars back to the forefront of Fast and the Furious. The four-way race in Rio was very important to me. It wasn’t in the script, it’s something I added. I actually wanted a street race – I haven’t seen it in a while and I wanted the antagonist to be the driver, I wanted to see our actors behind the wheel, I wanted to create special cameras and platforms to fly through cars that we’d never seen before. I did it all and it was a dream come true.
