The next installment of the horror anthology by Supermassive Games will hit the market next year. We will play both on the eighth and ninth generation consoles.
Recently, Little Hope had its premiere , the second installment of The Dark Pictures series , i.e. an anthology of horror films in the formula of interactive adventures. Today, Supermassive Games has announced another production in the series. House of Ashes will go on sale in 2021. The official description of the story is as follows:
Iraq, 2003. The war is coming to an end. CIA operations agent Rachel Kings joins an elite military unit as it vows to the Zagros Mountains to investigate a suspected underground chemical weapons manufacturing base.
Reaching the indicated place, the unit is attacked by a local patrol, commanded by sergeant Salim Othman. During the clash, an earthquake breaks open and causes members of both sides of the conflict to collapse straight into the ruins of a burnt Sumerian temple. Something bad had awakened in the darkness beneath the Arabian Desert. The furious and unstoppable nest of ancient otherworldly creatures has found new prey to hunt.
The survivors will stumble upon terrifying discoveries and face extremely tough decisions on their way out of the underworld. Do they consider their own survival as the most important, or will they put aside fears and personal prejudices to face the threat together?
The developers also published the first trailer introducing players to the atmosphere of the new game.
