Cyberpunk 2077 is the latest game developed by CD Projekt Red. Is the comic created on the brand just a jump to the cash register, or maybe it has its own unique character?
Revenge or Duty
The action of the Cyberpunk 2077 comic book. Trauma Teamtakes place in a world known, for example, from the latest work of CD Projekt Red studio. I haven’t had the pleasure to play this game yet, so I started reading it without much expectation. The plot focuses on Nadia, a paramedic working for Trauma Team International. During one of the missions, the woman lost her entire team. A psychopath with numerous implants contributed to this. Nadia has to pass a test to see if she can return to duty. This is where the plot of the comic begins. The protagonist talks about the traumatic experience to a psychologist working for the Trauma Team. In the end, Nadia gets the go-ahead and sets off on another mission with the new team. And here is an unexpected twist, already announced on the cover … Nadia is to escort the psychopath who killed her friends. And a vengeance-hungry gang will stand in their way!
Deadly psychopath
The plot is not overly revealing, but most importantly, it doesn’t focus on shooting, fighting and killing. The main character is Nadia, so we watch her struggle with the trauma. It can be seen in the example of her attitude towards the client and the murderer at the same time. The dilemma faced by the main character was presented in an interesting way. Is company and customer loyalty more important or revenge? The protagonist is an intriguing character due to the conflicting emotions that torment her during the mission. You can see that she did not cope with the loss of the team. It doesn’t change the fact that I have my doubts about the moment when he takes off his helmet. I can’t help but get the impression that this scene only appeared so that we could see Nadia’s face in the next frames (all members of the Trauma Team wear identical costumes, only the names on their helmets make them stand out). Apart from the woman, an equally important hero is a psychopath with the status of a platinum client. Interestingly, it is not as one-dimensional as it seems. Although it does not change the fact that, first of all, we see its murderous, even animal nature.
Yellow – the color of Cyberpunk 2077
I liked the graphic design very much. I especially liked the cover and the beautiful yellow color. As for the story itself, the fight scenes were the least successful in my opinion. Blood is pouring in streams and this is what can be said about these frames. The biggest advantage of the luminaire is the colors. I like the bright colors that fit the cyberpunk universe.
I have no major objections to the issue. I would only stick to the pointless arrangement of the covers of individual notebooks. In addition, it’s a pity that this collective comic book has not been broken down into chapters.
Is it worth joining the Trauma Team?
I have a problem with this comic, as well as with every middle school student. I have already seen some themes in other songs, and on the other hand, Nadia’s perspective is very interesting. I like that the main character doesn’t have any implants or enhancements. A nice change in the cyberpunk universe, where the protagonist is a medic who can die from one well-aimed shot. I had so much fun with this comic that I would like to reach for another item thematically covering the Cyberpunk 2077 universe .
