Showtime delighted with the series
When The Curse was revealed, Showtime was very excited to bring Emma Stone and Nathan Fielder on board for the project. Amy Israel, executive vice president of scripted programming at Showtime, expressed some of that excitement in a press release. A24 is on top of the game right now when it comes to different genres and fresh series. So, as The Curse tries to combine these different genres with a possible sinister undertone, it should really excite many viewers when it premieres online. Here’s what the principal had to say.
The sharp intelligence and wit of the incomparable Emma Stone make her the perfect partner with the brilliant minds of the Safdie brothers and the subversive comedy of Nathan Fielder. Together they promise to deliver groundbreaking satire that is both unexpected and deeply human. Showtime continues to shine as a beacon for visionary filmmakers looking to create their ambitious, unique programming.

Nathan Fielder’s work with John Wilson
Foot. HBO
Nathan Fielder played a big role in bringing How To With John Wilson to the airwaves. The HBO series ran for three seasons and was canceled shortly before its third salvo of episodes. While this is definitely a bummer, Wilson and the creative team have found a few things to be grateful for in the face of bad news. Season 3 could have been basically everything it wanted without the creeping fear of cancellation. Fielder oversaw many of these changes as executive producer. Check out how the star approached the end of this series below.
When we started working on Season 3, it was exciting for me to think of it as the last one. It ended up opening up a lot of narrative possibilities that weren’t available to us before and gave us the freedom to try some really ambitious things. So if you’re a fan of the show, thank you for watching and buckle up because you’re about to go on a crazy journey.
Wilson said in a statement.
