Tarsier Studios has won the favor of horror game fans with the release of two parts of  Little Nightmares . This time the developers suggested on Twitter that they are now planning to create something completely new, outside the framework of the series.

Tarsier Studios is best known as the studio behind  Little Nightmares  and  Little Nightmares II . The developer this time is taking on something new in the next project. Tarsier’s official Twitter account revealed a cryptic image with the caption ‘new world. Emphasis on the new’. The image is quite dark and it’s hard to see any details, but it appears to be a tiny light source in the middle of a body of water. It has a disturbing atmosphere, which would fit in with the studio’s achievements so far.

In a subsequent tweet , Tarsier confirmed that this new project will not be Little Nightmares III , but something new. While this may be a disappointment for some fans of the series, the responses to the tweet above have been mostly positive. It seems that Tarsier’s previous games have given players a lot of satisfaction, and most of them are looking forward to what the studio will create next. Unfortunately, there are no indications as of yet when the game might be released or when we might receive additional information.

How was  Little Nightmares ?

Little Nightmares debuted in 2017, and its sequel was released in 2021. Both titles are horror games, emphasizing puzzle and stealth mechanics. In the first part, the players were unable to fight against nightmarish opponents, and the main character Six was forced to hide from them. Things changed a bit in the sequel, which allowed the new character, Mono, to fight smaller opponents.

It is not yet known when Tarsier will release a new project. It can only be concluded that following in the footsteps of  Little Nightmares , the new game would be released on many platforms, including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Google Stadia. The latter seems unlikely. Either way, interested fans will have to be patient to find out more.
