The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy was a series filmed from 2003 to 2008 and aired on Cartoon Network . A total of 155 episodes were made, which from the beginning enjoyed great popularity and still have many fans. The station has currently announced the revival of other cartoons, such as The Powerpuff Girls and Mrs. Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends . For this reason, the creator of Billy, Mandy and the Grim Reaper, Maxwell Atoms, said that his characters should also get new episodes as soon as possible. What’s more, when asked by the fans, the screenwriter replied that he even created a project, and Cartoon Network’s bosses had already bent over it.
Atoms once claimed that he would like to create a musical based on the series, but it probably won’t work out. However, in a recent interview, he stated that:
Right now, CN is working on a project I came up with to introduce Billy and Mandy to new viewers. That could work, and maybe you’ll see me coming back to this series. For now, however, everything stands still. We’ll see what this year brings and what Time-Warner-Discovery-Comcast-Plus decides. It wouldn’t be the first time Billy and Mandy had crawled out of their graves.
