The press release for the convention reads:
Every five years since 2003, fans of the Halloween franchise travel around the world to celebrate one of the most endearing, impressive and enduring horror franchises of all time. John Carpenter’s Halloween premiered in cinemas and on car screens 45 years ago, changing the landscape of horror movies forever. The film served as the starting point for a series of films that now includes thirteen parts. The convention will take place at the Pasadena Convention Center from Friday – September 29 and will last until Sunday, October 1, 2023.
By the way, we learned a bit about the future of the series:
You know, David, Jamie and I talked about it – we’re done. I think it will be good for me to leave this character. We sort of likened it to the Super Bowl, I’m 65, he’s a year or two younger, and even though we’re not the youngest, we’re both vital, energetic, athletic, and young. We still want to change places in our career. I feel like it was like winning the Super Bowl. I know 2018 and Kills were playoffs, and I feel like Halloween Ends was like the Super Bowl, and we won, dude. So it’s best to win with a big ring on your hand and walk towards the sunset
said James Jude Courtney, the actor who played Michael Myers
The convention is organized by Trancas International Films and HorrorHound Ltd.
