DreamWorks and Universal Pictures have announced that the film will premiere on July 2. So it will hit theaters a few months earlier – the original release date is September 2021.
Simultaneously with the theatrical premiere, the production will go to the Peacock streaming service.
Already at the end of the first film (The Boss Baby ) our heroes appeared in their adult characters. The Templeton brothers Tim and Ted have grown apart. Tim lives in the suburbs with his family. His wife works and he stayed home with the kids – the incredibly intelligent little Tabitha and the baby Tina. The older girl is the best student and she adores her uncle Ted. To be like him is her biggest dream. Tim still has a vivid imagination, I don’t think he’s fully grown up. She is worried that the “workaholism” of his offspring will deprive her of the charms of her childhood.
Little Tina reveals that she is a secret agent of BabyCorp. Her mission turns out to be to uncover the dark secrets of Tabitha’s school. Probably the heroes will have to face its mysterious founder – Dr. Erwin Armstrong. A new threat will unite the Templeton brothers as they discover what really matters to them. After drinking the special milk, Tim and Ted will return to their childhood bodies for a short period of time and infiltrate a questionable educational facility.
The original language version will be: Alec Baldwin (Ted) and James Marsden (Tim, older brother), Lisa Kudrow (mum), Jimmy Kimmel (dad), Eva Longoria (Carol, Tim’s wife), Amy Sedaris (Tina, the younger of the daughters Carol and Tima), Ariana Greenblatt (Tabitha, the older daughter of Carol and Tim), Jeff Goldblum (Dr. Erwin Armstrong).
The animation is directed by Tom McGrath. The English version of the film is called The Boss Baby: Family Business.
