It’s been a long time since the announcement of the sequel to the award-winning multiplayer game Overwatch. Blizzard, however, does not give up and announces a public beta.

A long, long time ago, before the official problems at Blizzard, before the sale of the company, in November 2019 on Blizzcon, the continuation of the award-winning multiplayer game was announced. Overwatch ‘s sequel was originally scheduled for release in 2020, but a lot has changed since then.

Today is March 10, 2022, almost 3 years after the announcement, and Blizzard is not giving up. The Overwatch 2 Public Beta has just been announced ! The tests are planned to start at the end of April . Unfortunately, PvE fans will be disappointed. During the beta, players will only be able to fight each other in a PvP game. It is too early to fight artificial intelligence.

Blizzard announced that the heroes will take part in 5v5 battles and check out a new mode called Push for the first time. A new character called Sojourn will also be put into testing. In addition, we will receive rework of characters such as Orisa, Doomfist, Bastion or Sombra. There will also be a new ping system that players will use on brand new maps.

And finally: If you’ve missed the old Jeff Kaplan movies, we’ve got some good news for you! They are back, but this time with the new game director – Aaron Keller. In the video below, you can learn more about the tests and that the closed tests – for the chosen ones – will start next week. You can register for the beta here . Would you like to test the game? Or maybe in your opinion such productions have died long ago? Let me know in the comments. Our only concern is that the new Overwatch will not be just a big update to the original.
