Fall Guys is a battle royale game inspired by television programs such as Wipeout (known in Poland as Wipeout – Wymiatacze ) or American Ninja . The task is simple – the bean controlled by us has to overcome an obstacle course along which we run in a crowd of equally clumsy opponents.

At the start of each game, 60 beans appear, from which subsequent groups of unfortunates are eliminated by natural selection. One “sitting” at Fall Guysis a maximum of 5 short stages, during which a certain number of players is eliminated – about 40 lucky players go to the second phase, about 20 to the third, etc. The levels can be divided into 4 categories – races, survival for a certain time, team games and finals. The difficulty level is uneven as the different stages test a player’s individual skills – some are dexterity, in others – you need to stay focused and just be in the right place and time. The real bane, however, are team games, in which players are divided into two or three teams, and the worst opponent is usually representatives of the same team.

The charm of Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is that in some ways it is unintentionally more than just a game. The adventures of running and falling beans in a caricature show the everyday difficulties of living in the city, which most players are unconsciously struggling with. Everyone has experienced the pressure of the crowd “chasing him” on the lanes or running down the steps of an underpass to catch a train. After playing Fall Guys, these types of adventures take on a different dimension, and in these boring and stressful experiences, we are most often accompanied by a looped sample from the game soundtrack.

The songs accompanying us in these unusual battle royale races are certainly catchy and co-responsible for the success of the production. The music provided by the creators fits perfectly into the groans, grunts, and all the other onomatopoeias that running beans use. I can’t imagine Fall Guys with a soundtrack other than the original one, not only that – this is the first time that a soundtrack composed for the game has landed on my Spotify and accompanies me in my daily activities. On October 8, the second season of Fall Guys started . This means that players have just received an update introducing new levels, outfits and four refreshed songs. New obstacles have also been added to the existing levels and are randomly generated – what was my surprise when on one of the maps just before the end line a new obstacle appeared that was not there during my September adventure with the game. The things added in the update are connected with a medieval theme, so this time around, the beans in new levels run across castle fortifications and bridges, avoiding rubber pendulums and other obstacles lurking in the player’s sanity.
