For the 15th anniversary of the release of the light novel by Hasekura Isuna and Jū Asakura, the creators of the anime have prepared quite a surprise. Anime Spice and Wolf will be continued. We do not know how many episodes the series will have and when it will be premiered, as well as whether it will focus on all the threads featured in the new installments of the manga, but we are sure that, like the previous parts of the anime, it will be a great success.

Spice and Wolf is a light novel series written by Isun Hasekur with illustrations by Jū Ayakura. It is published by ASCII Media Works under the Dengeki Bunko imprint. Based on the series, an anime adaptation was created, broadcast from January to March 2008 and from July to September 2009, and two episodes of OVA. The manga adaptation of Keito Koume’s illustrated novel appeared in ASCII Media Works’s Dengeki Maoh magazine from 2007 to 2017. In Poland, this manga was released by the Studio JG publishing house in 2013-2018. On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the publication of the novel by Isun Hasekura, he began working on a sequel, the first chapter of which was released on April 9, 2016 and covers the events of 10 years after the end of volume 17.
The history of Spice and Wolf revolves around 25-year-old Kraft Lawrence, a traveling merchant who trades a variety of products from town to town to earn a living in a world reminiscent of late 16th century Europe. His main goal is to raise enough money to start his own shop, and he has been traveling for seven years gaining experience in trading. One night, when he is staying in Pasloe, he finds a pagan she-wolf deity in his wagon named Holo, who is over 600 years old. In appearance, it resembles an ordinary 15-year-old girl, except for a tail and wolf ears. She presents herself as the harvest goddess of this city, who has ensured its inhabitants a successful harvest of wheat for many years. Holo wants to return to his homeland in the north called Yoitsu. She believes people have abandoned her, and she has lived up to her promise to look after the crops.
