Nearly 20 years ago, Disney produced a pilot for the animated series Kingdom Hearts , but the project was never released. That could change in the near future as executive producer Seth Kearsley discussed the possibility of publishing the unfinished animation online.

Kearsley still has to digitize the project from his VHS cassette, so it won’t be released for at least a few weeks. It also remains to be seen if there may be any legal obstacles. Kingdom Hearts series series is in a completely different place today than it was in 2003, so it would be interesting to see what elements are faithful to the first game and how the narrative might deviate from the source material.
If Kearsley manages to publish his animation after all these years, many Kingdom Hearts fans will surely enjoy it ! For now, we’ll all just have to wait.
