The Addams’ journey together is set to stave off a growing family crisis. A highly gifted teenage Wednesday and her unruly younger brother Pugsley give Morticia and Gomez unexpected problems.
We imagined the stressful situations that every family went through, and the writers got the idea to play around with the concept that Wednesday wasn’t actually one of the Addams. It dramatized the story , revealed the director Conrad Vernon.
And since the Addamses have always shone in their interactions with the “normals”, traveling across the country has also proved to be the perfect way to provoke numerous contacts with a wide variety of people in different states of America.
The Polish language version was attended, among others, by Agnieszka Grochowska (Morticia), Jarosław Boberek (Gomez), Aleksandra Kowalicka (Wednesday), Jan Cięćara (Pugsley), Krzysztof Dracz (Cyrus) and Jerzy Kryszak (Mr. Mustela).
The Addams’ conflict of generations makes itself felt. The rebellion stage does not bypass the adolescents Wednesday and Pugsley. Though the Addams family does not necessarily fit in with the traditional family model, even Morticia is concerned that the descendants once again fail to show up for dinner. How to re-ignite the family fire and maintain ties? Gomez comes up with a brilliant idea – a joint vacation and a haunted motorhome trip across America! This will not be a mere sightseeing tour, though, as there will be so many ghastly adventures waiting for the Addams to make even Cousin Something’s hair stand on end.
