Although the production doesn’t get too many updates, The CW is still working on it. So it is not an abandoned project. TVLine confirmed that The Powerpuff Girls are in active development.
The reason you create remotes is that sometimes an idea can go wrong. This one was , said CW CEO Mark Pedowitz. We completely believe in the cast. We believe in Diablo (Cody) and Heather (Regnier), writers. We believe in the patronage of studies by Greg Berlanti and Warner (Bros. TV).
In this case, the pilot did not work , Pedowitz continued. But since we can see that there are enough pieces to build something, we wanted to give it another chance. Based on the original Cartoon Network animated series and characters created by Craig McCracken, The Powerpuff Girls will tell the story of Brawl, Fairy Tale (Dove Cameron) and Brawurka (Broadway actress Yana Perrault) who were once American superheroes but are now disappointed in their twenties frustrated by the loss of their childhood by fighting crime. Will they agree to reunite when the world needs them more than ever?
