The Mirmilov Tales are short comics created in various styles, and their main characters are often the supporting characters of the original series. The premiere album Rozróby i romansecontains seven stories by Piotr Bednarczyk, Mieczysław Fijał, Magdalena “Meago” Kania, Sławomir Kiełbus, Maciej Kur, Tomasz Leśniak and Tomasz Samojlik. The robbers are finally going to take a well-deserved vacation and also come up with a great new trick. The brawler will scare the delegation to the lands of Gromihord. Woj Wit, in the impulse of his heart, sets off on a dangerous journey. Mirmił will decide to win the competition at all costs, which he has invented himself, and will also take his beloved wife Lubawa on a romantic journey for two. Kokosz, on the other hand, will discover a great talent within himself, and the dragon, Miluś, will be in great danger!
The reissue of the Łamignat Straszliwy album contains four stories by Piotr Bednarczyk, Sławomir Kiełbus, Maciej Kur and Tomasz Samojlik. Chief Hegemon will come up with another brilliant plan to capture Mirmilov, but for his success he will be missing one small element … an elephant! During the robbery of a luxury horse carriage, the robber Łamignat will receive an unusual task: he is to kidnap Prince Wydziwiej’s daughter! An envoy from the Dragon Research Institute of the Royal Alchemical Academy comes to Mirmilov to investigate the dragon Milusio … Another time, Mirmila will be visited by his beloved brother Wojmiel, but their joy will not last long …
The reissue of the volume Obłęd Hegemona includes four stories by Piotr Bednarczyk, Krzysztof Janicz, Sławomir Kiełbus, Maciej Kur, Norbert Rybarczyk and Tomasz Samojlik. The Hegemon will suddenly act extremely calm and polite, causing the robbers to suspect that their beloved leader has gone mad. The castellan Mirmil will protect all the surrounding animals, which Bloody Barnabas will not like, and the dragon Miluś will fall into a trap. We will go back in time to the childhood of Kajko and Kokosz and meet some of the little inhabitants of the town. At the urging of Jaga, the robber Łamignat will decide to set up a school where he will teach his profession to children …
Kajko i Kokosz by Janusz Christy (1934–2008) is one of the most famous Polish comic book series. He tells in a hilarious way about the adventures of two Slavic warriors – the wise and honest Kajka and the strong and selfish Kokosz – who served the castellan Mirmił. Two friends bravely defend Mirmilov from the attacks of evil robbers, running into trouble again and again. Currently, the comic is published in the following publishing lines:
- Kajko i Kokosz – the main series, consisting of twenty volumes created by the master himself, Janusz Christa, in the years 1972-1989
- Kajko and Kokosz. New Adventures – the official continuation of the series. Each album contains one full-length story about the adventures of the main characters. The authors of the series are Sławomir Kiełbus, Maciej Kur and Piotr Bednarczyk. There are 2 volumes on sale: Królewska Konna and Z aćmienie at dusk . Volume 3 is planned for 2023.
- Kajko and Kokosz. Tales from Mirmiłów – the official continuation of the series. The albums contain short comics created in various styles, and their main characters are often supporting characters of the original series
- Kajko and Kokosz. Golden Collection – a jubilee edition issued on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the series, in which all Kajko and Kokosz comics will be collected – in chronological order and subject to color renovation. An addition to each album is an extensive afterword by Krzysztof Janicz, containing a lot of valuable information and curiosities about the history of the series and Janusz Christa himself. Each volume is supplemented with numerous archival photos, covers, illustrations and sketches.
- Kajko i Kokosz – foreign-language editions – the adventures of Kajko and Kokosz in Esperanto, French or Ukrainian are a treat for collectors and lovers of Janusz Christa’s work. Thanks to foreign-language editions, readers around the world will be able to meet the most popular Polish comic book heroes.
- Kajko i Kokosz – regional editions are albums in which Kajko and Kokosz, brave Slavic warriors, speak highlander, Kashubian and Poznań. The colorful regional vocabulary combined with the unique humor of Janusz Christa is great fun and an interesting proposition for people who cultivate dialect.
