The upcoming animated film about the man of steel is one of several DC Universe Original Movies – original productions that are not based on any comic books. We can already take a look at its first trailer.
Warner Bros. Animation has just released a trailer for Superman’s new origin story, subtitled Man of Tomorrow. The story will focus on the early career of the young Clark Kent, who will face the threat of Lobo and Parasite.
The animation is directed by Chri Palmer and the writer is Tim Sheridan. The voices were given by Darren Criss (Clark Kent), Zachary Quinto (Lex Luthor), Alexandra Daddario (Lois Lan), Brett Dalton (Lobo) and Ryan Hurst (Parasite).
As an original production, the movie is not based in any way on previous stories, however fans may note a similarity to Superman: American Alien. It is also not the first attempt to create a new origin story of this hero, because there were quite a lot of similar approaches, including the movie Man of Steel, or the comics Superman: Man of Steel , Superman: Birthright , and Superman: Secret Origin.
