Due to the ongoing pandemic, for the first time this year, there will be no major video game fair such as E3 and Gamescom. These events are inherently connected with the most important announcements, including demonstrations of the capabilities of new generation consoles. The solution was found by Geoff Keighley, creator of The Game Awards.
Summer Game Fest, unlike the aforementioned fairs, will not last only a few days, but as much as four months. We can expect series, virtual, in-game events and numerous demo versions available for self-play. The event will start next week thanks to the Microsoft conference (where we will see Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla running on the Xbox Series X in action). The final will take place on August 24 with the start of Gamescom’s virtual edition. We know we can expect participation from companies such as Sony Interactive Entertainment, Microsoft, CD Projekt RED, Private Division, Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment, EA, Square Enix, Bethesda, Riot Games, 2K Games and others.
