We recently found out who’s who in the new Suicide Legion planned for August 6 . Writer and director James Gunn revealed, among other things, that the famous Hollywood actor Idris Elba will play … No, not Deadshot, who was abandoned by Will Smith, and not Vigilante, as you might judge from the shooting from the set, and a character named Bloodsport. And no – it’s not about a revamped version of Blood Sport starring Jean-Claude van Damm.
Probably not many people know the character from the latest Suicide Squad. The director decided to use the 1987 Superman comic and reach for Lex Luthor’s assistant, who appears there. Bloodsport, played by Elba, will have armor and various deadly tools, and … a daughter to be played by Storm Read. His real name in the movie is Robert DuBois. (By the way, Van Damme also played a character with this name in another movie 🙂
DuBois, a prison killer, is incorporated into Task Force X, the well-known Suicide Legion. He misses his daughter, so he agrees to it in the hope that it will enable him to shorten his sentence.
The director praises Elba (who just turned 48), saying that he exceeded all expectations
as an actor and as a human being,
whatever that means.

The Suicide Squad is a gallery of crazy characters. It’s like a great graphic novel that has been brought to life.
Who else will perform? Actors known from the 2016 movie, that is, of course, Margot Robbie, as the unforgettable Harley Quinn (this time in black and red clothes), Jai Courtenay or Kapitan Boomerang, Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag), and Viola Davis (Waller).
The new twisted heroes are: Weasel (Sean Gunn), Peacemaker (John Cena), King Shark (Steve Agee), Savant (Michael Rooker), Polka-Dot Man (David Dastmalchian), Javelin (Flula Borg), Mongal (Mayling Ng) , Sol Soria (Alice Braga), as Ratcatcher 2 (Daniel Melchoir), Blackguard (Pete Davidson), TDK (Nathan Fillion), The Thinker (Peter Capaldi).
