SUDDENLY! is a new comics publishing house created by enthusiasts of the genre, who have been professionally dealing with comics in its various versions for years. SUDDENLY! is a mid-range comic book with an engaging story and attractive graphics that don't obscure the content. The offer will be complemented by interesting experiments and a bit of classics from the best creators and publishers from around the world (Image Comics, Boom! Studio, Dark Horse Comics, Fantagraphics, Glenat, Dargaud). SUDDENLY! are also premiere projects created in cooperation with renowned artists from Poland and abroad. For 2023, they have about 20 titles planned, in 2024 they want to increase this number to 30.
SUDDENLY! are:
Krzysztof Ostrowski – professionally involved in comics for over 25 years; animator, cartoonist, academic lecturer, frontman of the band Cool Kids of Death. For the past six years, as publishing director, he has been cataloging Non Stop Comics.
Bartosz Musiał – lawyer (copyright specialist), manager, translator. For the past 6 years, he has co-run the publishing house Non Stop Comics.
Adam Badowski – head of the studio and member of the management board of CD PROJEKT, with which he has been associated since 2002. Co-responsible for the concept and artistic vision of The Witcher games ; game director of Cyberpunk 2077 .
The first titles included:
– Richard Stark’s Parker: The Martini Edition (a reissue of one of Darwyn Cooke’s best comic book series);
– Step By Bloody Step (the most original fantasy story of recent years);
– Do A Powerbomb (Daniel Warren’s unusual original style);
– Friday (by the esteemed creator Ed Brubaker, this time in the convention of crime/horror/young adult);
– Geiger (by Geoff Johns)
– Junk Yard Joe (also from Geoff Johns)
The first premieres are expected on April 26 this year.
