Eddie’s return
The vast majority of fans (or female fans) of the series counts on this development. But let’s start from the beginning: the Duffer brothers have accustomed their viewers to a certain pattern. Each season presents an easy-to-like character to which the recipient quickly becomes attached. Ultimately, however, she is put to death, leaving the fans devastated. We could observe this fate in the case of Barb, Alexei, Bob, and even Billy, who managed to do penance in our eyes and gain a little sympathy in his last moments. It may be different in the case of Eddie, whose popularity has exceeded the expectations of both the creators and the actor himself.
Although “Edward, the vampire” is mainly associated with Twilight , many believe that this is the fate of the hero from Stranger Things . The clue is to be the finale of the D&D campaign, played in the first episode of the season. And as we know, the Dungeons and Dragons universe is a huge inspiration for the plot of the series.
It didn’t take long for the fans to put the threads together. According to this theory, Vecna will make Eddie return as a vampire (and, like Kas mentioned earlier), he will fight by his side to finally betray and defeat the “one”. It is also worth mentioning that Kas used a shield and a sword in combat – exactly the same weapon that Eddie fought with bats, associated with vampires.
When I think about this theory, the saying “a drowning man grabs a razor” comes to mind. While it’s definitely one of the most interesting I have come across, I hope it’s not just a rather peculiar way for fans to disprove the fact that the hero who stole the hearts of fans won’t be making a comeback next season.
What is most interesting, both the Duffer brothers and Joseph Quinn himself, playing the role of Eddie, did not expect such a great success for this character. Perhaps now that they have realized what the potential is in his story, they will finally take pity on the fans?
This theory is so strong that even Joseph Quinn referred to it in one of his recent interviews. At the suggestion of Eddie’s return to the living, he simply stated – suspiciously many times – that he didn’t know. He openly admitted, however, that he would love to reprise himself as our favorite Hawkins rebel.
There are many more theories themselves, and what is new is more interesting . Stranger Things is one of Netflix ‘s greatest hits and even if none of the theories turns out to be true, we will have an exciting screening. The Duffer brothers have already officially started working on the script for Season 5, so we only have to wait for the final resolution of many of the threads.
Which of the theories do you think has the best chance of being met?
