The fourth season of Stranger Things was announced from the beginning as a strong extension of the universe and the addition of many new threads. Everyone kept saying that it was going to be something we hadn’t seen yet and that the emotions would be at their peak. One thing is for sure, with so many new actors it is possible to further complicate the story and explore newly created threads. This could, of course, be at the expense of the heroes we already know, but there’s no point in worrying in advance. Especially since the new cast looks amazing.
As Peter Ballard – Jamie Campbell Bower . He is a very well-known British actor, whom the audience knows from such roles as young Grindelwald in the Harry Potter universe (2010, 2011, 2018), Jace Wayland in the film adaptation of The Gifts of Angel: City of Bones (2013), King Arthur in the Camelot series ( 2011) and Anthony Hope in the musical Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street opposite Johnny Depp (2007). We read on Twitter that Peter Ballard is an employee of a mental hospital, which at the same time heralds an interesting thread that may develop in connection with this location. Perhaps this is what the mysterious building that we saw recently in the photos will serve for?
Sherman Augustus as Lieutenant Colonel Sullivan. The actor appeared in such films as Virus (1999), Alien (2003) and Bad Guys (2008). According to the description, Sullivan believes he knows how to stop all the evil consuming Hawkins. “Believes” – did the decisions he made in good faith turn out to be wrong or dangerous?
As Jonathan’s new best friend, Argyle – Eduardo Franco . The actor started his career relatively recently, in 2016, and is known for, among others, from the School of Melange (2019), Men’s Pack (2018) or American Vandal (2017). Argyle is a fun-loving pizza delivery man, also associated with drugs (the plot of which is becoming increasingly important in season four).
Tom Wlaschiha will play the role of Dimitri . If his face (oh, ironically!) Feels familiar to you, no wonder. Tom is best known as Jaqen H’ghar, Arya Stark’s mentor from Game of Thrones (2011-2019). Jason is a stereotypical high school athlete linked to the most popular girl in school. As it turns out, it hides some secrets.
And now the information that surprised everyone: we will see Joseph Quinn in the role of Eddie Munson , and not Levon Thurman-Hawke, as it seemed before. The actor appeared in, for example, Operation Overlord (2017), and played a minor role in Game of Thrones . Eddie is the president of the school’s D&D club in Hawkins, and therefore the leader of the Hellfire Club. Of course, this does not mean that Levon will not appear in the series, but that we do not know what role he will play yet.

And finally the biggest surprise. Back at Hawkins Mental Hospital, we introduce Robert Englund as Victor Creel. Robert is known to every movie fan as Freddy Krueger from the Nightmare on Elm Street universe . His incredibly rich filmography also includes such titles as The Phantom of the Opera (1989), Nightworld (2017) and Dance Macabre (1992), and made guest appearances in such productions as Supernatural (season 6, episode 11) and The Super Hero Squad Show ( as the voice of Dormammu). Victor will play, a patient confined to the hospital in connection with a murder he committed years ago.
We knew from the start that we would see many new faces in season four, but that was not what anyone expected. The known to us Hawkins universe is growing strongly and quickly, and the presence of such well-known actors means interesting and refined threads, intertwining in the upcoming episodes. Will there be too many of them? It will turn out, for now it remains to enjoy the good news and wait for any surprises the creators have prepared for us.
The fourth season of Stranger Things is expected to appear on Netflix in 2021.
