Star Wars fan discussions were sparked by the new issue of Empire Magazine . The attention was drawn to the exclusive version of the cover, which made the viewers ask: will Boba Fett return in the new season of The Mandalorian ?
A basic rule of the Mandalorian culture code is never to remove your helmet. However, as Din Djarin proved in The Mandalorian , this rule can be waived under the right circumstances. A dualistic view of wearing a helmet was presented in the new covers of Empire Magazine. In the standard version, Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and Bo-Katan Kryze (Kate Sackhofff) have their helmets off, while the subscriber version of the cover features holograms of various iconic Mandalore helmets that have sprung from the Star Wars universe . The exclusive cover mainly shows the characters that will appear in season 3 of The Mandalorian, although the classic Boba Fett helmet is also visible, which may suggest another return of the bounty hunter. The covers were shared on Twitter (seen below).
The Mandalorian’s journeys through the Star Wars galaxy continue. Once a solitary bounty hunter, Din Djarin reunites with Grog. Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to lead the galaxy out of its dark past. The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their adventure together.
– tells us the official description of the new season.
The second season of The Mandalorian brought back the iconic character of Boba Fett to the screen. The bounty hunter allegedly died in the Sarlacc pit during Return of the Jedi (1983). The Mandalorian dispelled doubts, because Boba is still alive and manages to get his armor back. Thus, Fett decides to help Djarin in an important mission. The hunter’s plot was developed by the series spin-off The Book of Boba Fett , where Djarin, in turn, decides to repay the debt of gratitude. Given that Star Wars has been enjoying crossovers lately, the cover in question could be an indication that Boba is making another comeback. On the other hand, it may simply be a representation of all the important Mandalorian warriors that have appeared in the universe so far.
