In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly on the Dagobah Dispatch Podcast (via The Direct ), producers Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni said a few words about The Mandalorian’s future and his chance for redemption in the new season.
Well, we established in The Book of Boba Fett that the Mandalorian would have a chance at redemption after he broke the Creed by removing his helmet. It is forbidden among his tribe. Now we know that there are other Mandalorian groups with different rules. In The Clone Wars , Dave and I saw that the Mandalorians are very different. So these different groups will meet and we’ll see what happens next… their common point is of course the homeland they were exiled from, which is Mandalore.
