Wonder Woman’s director Patty Jenkins has been collaborating with Matthew Robinson on the script for Rogue Squadron for a year. Shooting for the film was to begin in 2022. Currently, however, it is known that it will be impossible with a full Patty Jenkins schedule.
The director is involved in the creation of Wonder Woman 3 and the historical film about Cleopatra (also played by Gal Gadot). It has been reported that these commitments are not the only reason for the delays. Reportedly, Patty Jenkins suffers from the restriction of her creative freedom by the producers of Lucasfilm. It’s a recurring problem, with many filmmakers having a problem with studio boss Kathleen Kennedy before. Perhaps this is the reason why Wonder Woman ‘s director focuses on other projects where she has much more freedom.
Troubles on the set will likely delay the premiere of Star Wars: Rogue Squadron as well . It is currently scheduled for December 22, 2023.
