We were able to see the Inquisitors for the first time in the animated series Star Wars: Rebels, although they also appeared in the comic book series about Vader or in the game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order . The Inquisition is a secret organization of Force-resistant members whose goal is to track down and kill former Jedi Knights who survived Order 66. It was founded during the Empire, and one of its leaders was Darth Vader himself. Given that, the appearance of Inquisitors seems very likely.
The series will focus on the story of the idol of Star Wars fans , Obim-Wan Kenobi. Its action will take place during the reign of the Empire and the great purge of the Jedi, ten years after the events of the movie Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. The main character, reprized by Ewan McGregor, will have to face his personal failure – Darth Vader, his former apprentice who turned to the dark side.
However, the report has still not been officially confirmed, so the fans only have to wait. Van Dyke himself admits that he is not yet sure of his thesis, as only one of his sources has confirmed it so far.
The premiere of the first season of the series, which will be released on the Disney + platform, is scheduled for 2022.
