Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment announced today that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has been delayed. Announced last month, the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was supposed to premiere in March 2023. Although the game will no longer appear on the same date, the new release date is not too far from the previous one.

As reported on social media, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be released on April 28 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC. As a result, this is a delay of just over a month, as the game was originally supposed to be released on March 17. According to Respawn, the initial work on the project has been done, but the team still needs additional time to polish the title a bit more before the release.

Now we focus entirely on the final stage: bug fixes to increase performance, stability and most importantly, the player experience. The team takes the time it needs to reach the level of polish our fans deserve. We’ve added six key weeks to our release schedule. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will now debut on April 28.”

– it was written in the Respawn announcement.

The delay isn’t huge, so probably many fans who’ve been waiting for the sequel won’t be too disappointed. The change of the game’s release date also ensures that March 2023 will not be so crowded with new entries, as games such as Resident Evil 4 , WWE 2K23 and MLB The Show 23 will be released in the same period .
